The Cottages

he three cottages, "Tigh Phadraig", "Tigh Màiri" and "Tigh Seonag", each offer luxurious accomodation including a traditional veiled boxed bed (better than any four poster!), under floor heated stone floors throughout (absolutely wonderful on bare feet!), and a stove sits in the large stone fire place, prefect for watching the flickering flames & sipping at a wee dram. A well equipped fully fitted kitchen is also installed, but if you don't fancy cooking there are many fine restaurants on Skye, including one just a short walk away. The cottages have been awarded Four Stars by the Scottish Tourist Board.

The Location

he cottages are located in the renowned but secluded small fishing and crofting village of Elgol. The view from the jetty at the bottom of the village, looking across Loch Scavaig into Loch Coruisk and the magnificent Cuillin mountain range is arguably the finest in the country. At the small harbour local creel and trawling boats land their catches. Other boats run trips, across Loch Scavaig to Loch Coruisk and the Cuillin Hills.
